Use of this website is offered by HRN on condition of your acceptance of the “Terms and Conditions” set forth below, without modification. BY USING THIS WEBSITE YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Home Resource Network of Seattle, Inc. (“HRN”) is a referral service that refers contractors (each a “Contractor” and collectively, “Contractors”) who have been screened consistent with HRN’s limited screening process.

2. HRN’s screening process is limited to: (a) conducting a telephone interview with each Contractor; (b) confirming with Washington’s Department of Labor and Industries that each Contractor has a valid contractor’s license, each Contractor is insured and bonded; and (c) contacting five of each Contractor’s references. HRN has no duty to disclose to you any information HRN obtains about a Contractor during the screening process or otherwise. Additionally, HRN has no duty to perform additional or ongoing screening.

3. The decision to hire a particular Contractor rests solely with you. It is your responsibility to ensure you hire a Contractor that you have independently determined to be competent, reliable and suitable to your needs. You are encouraged to conduct additional research about Contractors referred by HRN and to consult legal and other professionals as you deem appropriate.

4. HRN attempts to connect homeowners with competent, reliable and professional Contractors. However, HRN has no control over the services provided by a Contractor or a Contractor's subcontractors or suppliers. Accordingly, HRN makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, about any Contractor, subcontractor or supplier or the quality, workmanship or timeliness of any Contractor's or subcontractor's work. HRN specifically disclaims all warranties of fitness, merchantability and habitability. Further, HRN does not guaranty your satisfaction with the work, suitability or reliability of any Contractor, subcontractor or supplier.

5. By choosing to work with a Contractor referred to you by HRN, you agree to release HRN, and to defend and hold HRN harmless from and against, all liability, claims, losses, suits, damages, judgments, expenses, costs, and charges of every kind and nature, both legal and otherwise, whether direct or indirect, for any acts or omissions of Contractor, its agents, employees, subcontractors and suppliers.

6. You understand that Contractors are not agents, partners, employees, contractors or subcontractors of HRN, and HRN has no ability or duty to control or direct a Contractor's performance or the details of a Contractor's work.

7. You understand that HRN provides referral services only, and is not a general contractor.

8. All matters relating to the use of this website will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington without regard to conflicts of laws principles. For any controversy arising out of or relating to this website, or the services provided by HRN, you will submit and not object to jurisdiction and venue in King County, Washington.

9. In the event of a dispute regarding your use of this website or the interpretation or enforcement of these Terms and Conditions, the prevailing party in such dispute will be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, including attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in any appellate proceeding.

10. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and HRN with regard to your use of this website and the services provided by HRN, and supersede all other written or oral agreements or understandings related thereto.

11. A determination that any provision of these Terms and Conditions is unenforceable or invalid shall not affect the enforceability or validity of any other provision. The provision deemed to be unenforceable or invalid shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. HRN reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms and Conditions, at any time. It is your responsibility to check this website periodically for changes. Your continued use of this website following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes.

13. HRN reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke access of this website to you or other website visitors.
